ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS…ONE BIG FAMILY CELEBRATION!

By Andie Recto

Christmas is a time for families to get together. For the longest time, I haven’t been able to spend my holidays with a complete family, because of certain lifestyles that keep us apart. Both my parents have also gone ahead, along with my eldest brother. A few of my siblings still invite us to special occasions, and I always look forward to being there to celebrate with family.

My fondest Christmas wish would be to celebrate Christmas as one big family – my four siblings and their children, who are not in Manila, together with those who are here in the city. The last time we were all together was when my mom passed away last April 25, 2021. For now this may seem impossible, but it is a WISH, and ultimately I do understand their reasons.

Still I remain grateful for every Christmas, as I am blessed to spend it with a whole bunch of family, relatives, and the bestest of friends, including my treasured Batch ’79!
