Sr. RegiVic was a pillar of wisdom, faith, and love in our Assumption community. She was not just respected—she was cherished. Anyone who studied or worked at Assumption knew her, even if only by name, for she was a constant presence, walking through the school, greeting students and faculty alike with a warmth that made everyone feel seen.
I am deeply honored to call her a mentor, having been blessed by her generous wisdom and unwavering guidance. She was a storyteller at heart—captivating us with the life and mission of our dear foundress, always leaving us eager to hear more. She never tolerated mediocrity, called things as they were, and saw every task through to completion. Though some may have found her stern, her quick wit and mischievous smile had a way of disarming even the most guarded hearts.
If one were to describe Sr. RegiVic, words like erudite, meticulous, and dedicated come to mind. But beyond those qualities, she was a woman of profound faith, a mentor who nurtured souls, and a leader who inspired action. She gave 58 years of her life in service to the Assumption, holding roles that shaped generations—teacher, mistress of class, principal, superior, formator, novice formator, councilor, archivist, and trustee, among many others. Her journey took her across the world, from Manila to Iloilo, Baguio, Antipolo, Worcester, Paris, and back to San Lorenzo—always answering the call to serve wherever she was needed.
But more than the titles she held, it was the way she lived her vocation that left an indelible mark on those who knew her. Sr. RegiVic was strong yet kind, firm yet compassionate, principled yet always open to growth. Her faith was not just something she professed—it was something she lived, with every decision, every word, and every action rooted in her love for God and our Assumption family.
She never sought the spotlight, yet her legacy shines brightly in the lives she touched. Her love for the Assumption and her commitment to its mission will forever remain in our hearts. We are grateful, beyond words, for the gift of her life, and while she is no longer physically with us, her spirit continues to walk these halls, guiding us as she always has—with wisdom, grace, and an enduring love for the mission she so faithfully served.
