SR. ANA MARIA MELOCOTON, R.A. REMEMBERS
ITA EST.?! Yes, father?!?…..these were the words written on the ring of sr Regina when she made her final vows….….this the word written in her life from the moment she left her home and family and became a postulant in Iloilo until her final YES at the Makati Mediacal Center, last night at 6.00 p.m. when the sisters of her community was surrounding her singing the evening prayer , vespers. In the presence of her family and our provincial, Sr. Mary Ignatius and Sr. Mary Cecilia……..Sr. RegiVic gave her final Yes father when the Magnificat was sung….her life a yes…her life to the glory of The Father.
Leaving home and family at the age of 19, Sr. RegiVic’s life was ONE TOTAL YES TO THE FATHER….all her gifts of intelligence..balanced personality, capacity to love purely, love deeply, laugh heartily, and more , were at the service of the congregation….mostly in the line of formation, novice mistress, formation mistress, superior, provincial councilor, general councilor, provincial archivist. If there is anyone in the app and I might even say congregation who knows the mind of Mother Marie Eugenie, it is Sr. RegiVic. Through her teaching….it is sr Regivic who has translated many of the chapters digitalized many into a system available for all. Sr. RegiVic worked on the deepening study of MME writings so our institutions are steeped in her words and spirits. Her joy is to share letters of college graduates and how they live their lives meaningfully honed into thoughts of MME.
