Having Sr. Regivic as the Principal of the High School Department of AC was a real challenge: punctual, precise, principled, extremely bright and competent, yet when I suffered through a personal, academic crisis, she was the FIRST one who stayed by me in steadfast COMPASSION and did not leave my side until I got over it. She was deeply HEART!
We have seen her in her many roles and admired her for her being a “woman of faith” and a “woman of action”, someone who did everything with passion and zeal so hard to equal, but for me, nothing beats seeing and hearing her laugh! Give her her favourite food or listen to her tell her funny story, and you will hear her most contagious chuckle, revealing how she delights in the smallest things. Sr. Regivic was a CHILD!
Lastly, I will remember our beloved Sister as a Mentor who taught me not just by words but by her witness. “By joyful detachment, the spirit of the Assumption sets aside sighs and lamentations and seeks what God wishes us to do to make the best of things for His service and glory” (SME). That was Sr. Regivic—not sentimentality but ZEAL and FIDELITY. She was truly her “YES”!
