AAA Board of Trustees, AAA President's Report, Old Girls Day, Velada 2025
AAA PRESIDENT’S REPORT 2025: A Year of of Faith, Action, and Renewal.
by Dette De La Fuente Aruego, President of the Assumption Alumnae Association
“Our strength isn’t measured by numbers or events — it’s measured by heart. And the Assumption heart beats strong.”
Each October, we come home. Old Girls’ Day has always been a celebration of faith, friendship, and the enduring Assumption spirit — and this year was no different.
Where Your Gifts Went
Because of the generosity of our 2023 Jubilarians and the success of our AAA projects, almost PHP 10 million in donations — coursed through the Assumption Education and Development Fund (AEDEV) — reached our seven mission schools in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
From St. Martin’s in Baguio all the way to St. Vincent’s Academy in Lanao del Norte, each school continues to transform communities through education. We also rebuilt the homes of our beloved Assumption Sisters through the Bring Them Home project and supported literacy efforts through Read to Achieve / ALPABASA.
Every peso entrusted to us becomes part of a story of faith in action.
Thank You to Our 2024 Jubilarians
This year, we again witnessed incredible generosity. Our 2024 Jubilarians — from Pearl to Jade, Ruby, Sapphire, Gold, Diamond, and of course our College and High School Silvers — turned over their class gifts, which will be distributed before the year ends to our various mission schools and partners.
Each donation is an act of love that sustains Assumption’s mission of transformative education.
Welcoming Our New Trustees
We also celebrated continuity in leadership. Congratulations to our five newly elected Trustees:
These five join ten continuing members to form the 2026 Board of Trustees.
The AAA Board is composed of 15 alumnae, each serving a three-year term, with five new members elected every year. This ensures that while fresh voices join, wisdom and experience remain — a rhythm of renewal that keeps our Association alive and growing.
AAA Board of Trustees (2026–2028 Term Structure)
Each year, five Trustees complete their term and five new ones are elected — ensuring continuity and renewal.
Honoring a Life of Service
Before closing the report, we also honored Mrs. Judy Araneta Roxas, whose quiet leadership and boundless generosity helped shape the AAA and the very auditorium where we gathered.
Her legacy is one of steadfast service — a reminder that faith and love can build lasting homes.
Moving Forward Together
From our Golf Tournament to our monthly and weekly Rosaries, our Club-bing Outreach in Malibay and our One AC One Heart gatherings to the upcoming AAA Christmas Bazaar, every project has shown what “Assumption Together” truly means — laughing, serving, and praying as one community.
