BEIA LEGARDA SANTOS-FLORETE

High School 2005

As a school owner and a mother of 3, I recognize the importance of community and how we all have a hand so that we can strengthen our connection with each other and ourselves. Being passionate about education and parenting drives me to constantly work with and for others not only to impart my learnings but also so that I may learn too.

Q: What activities do you think can be introduced to benefit alumnae and AC Mission Schools?

A: Activities for alumnae would be opportunities for them/us to have outreaches or working together to raise money to serve others as was the practice training of Assumption when we were younger. Also being more connected / active in the school and being in the loop to know its needs, for example- a program for the TDEVS, faculty training and continuing learning, etc so that AC may maintain its quality education.

The Mission Schools would also benefit from seminars and training / livelihood skills programs for their students.

Q:  What are 1-2 key learnings  from  your Assumption education that molded you into the woman you are now?

A: Assumption’s stress on simplicity is still something I proudly imbibe today as I focus on what’s important and necessary, not just in how I carry myself but also in my business and ideas. AC has also instilled values in me that always makes me think of others and how I can help the community as we had a strong AC community and we were always given the opportunity to serve.

Q:  What achievement are you most proud of and why?

A: I am most proud of my education and all that I have finished. These are things no one can take from me, I can bring wherever I go, improve me, and have opened up my world to a thousand possibilities.
