Peachy Y. Talanay, HS84

What do you think you can contribute if elected to the Board as a Trustee?

With extensive experience in managing and collaborating with individuals of different personalities, combined with a broad knowledge of organizing and executing diverse projects and events, I believe I am well-positioned to leverage these skills in serving my fellow Alumnae.

What advocacy have you been a part of and what was your role and contribution?

I advocate for those who voices are often left unheard. Raising awareness on the importance of mental health and supporting those who struggle with it is a cause close to my heart.

On a personal level, I acknowledge my tendency to be my own toughest critic, which drives me to pursue constant growth, surpass my previous efforts, and create a meaningful impact in everything that I do.

What was your most important learning from your Assumption education?

Assumption has deepened my relationship with God, reminding me to persevere after setbacks and to embrace selflessness. It reinforces the idea of me trying to always be “a man for others,” as symbolized by my old AMA (‘inverted’) cross, which prioritizes serving God over myself. This mindset helps me find fulfillment in the happiness of others.
