Gladys Santiago-Zafra, HS99 / College03

What do you think you can contribute if elected to the Board as a Trustee?

My enthusiasm and love to connect with people, which led me to be a passionate Human Resources professional. Through the direction of the AAA, which is to grow the Assumption community here and abroad, it will be a great start to create conversations and come up with initiatives to give back and celebrate these milestones & Achievements.

What advocacies have you been a part of and what was your role and contribution?

These days, my advocacy has been about coaching and active listening, to anyone who is needed to be heard. As an HR professional, this is a way of life. As a result, people approach me to be heard and to seek an objective way of processing what they have think and feel. In the future, and life/future proofing myself, I want to be a life coach.

What was your most important learning from your Assumption education?

Inspired from our high school batch motto, I received from Assumption the gift of living in faith, serving with passion and growing with love. Through the years, has been a natural journey for me to share these gifts to my family, friends and work experiences. These gifts shall be my living legacy to my children and in the next generations to come. Through my own determination and resilience, looking back, I have AChieved.
