“Pwede na yan” … is NOT a phrase Batch 79 would ever use in response to putting up a velada performance. Every rehearsal is truly a stepping stone polished more and more until our joy shines brilliantly for all to see onstage.

But the process is certainly more than just a means towards perfection.  Each rehearsal is a gathering of friends who’ve been through so much, 45 years after high school. We share food, excitedly trying old and new favorites. We also update each other on our lives- achievements big and small, the challenges we’ve overcome, and tips on healing aches and pains of the body and heart. We pray together, to a God who has taken us from teenage girls with dreams to blue Sapphire gems who look to the past, and to the future, with gratitude.
