Q: What activities do you think can be introduced to benefit alumnae and AC Mission Schools? 

A: develop a directory of assumption alumnae talents to serve as “resource” that can be tapped to meet needs of mission schools.  ie.  trainings and lectures to give teachers additional learning skills;  resource speakers for career developments of students…   do activities especially for the younger generation (10 years, 15 years… that will get them to come back to school and rekindle our Assumption training.  Also do activities that will encourage the alumnae across all years to meet and get to know each other and network.  art shows (that can also become fundraising activities)  cooking classes via zoom that can benefit mission schools;  painting classes, or short courses that would interest alumnae to attend and this way get them to become more involved.  Kapihan or kuwentuhan sessions with the nuns that integrate Saint Marie Eugenie teachings with our every day challenges.

Q:  What are 1-2 key learnings  from  your Assumption education that molded you into the woman you are now?   

A: “A woman of faith in action.”  My assumption schooling has taught me to always see the good in others and in faith to trust the Lord in the path He has guided me to do whether is to be a housewife, a mother, a corporate head, my work with the poorest of the poor, the homeless… He continues to give me strength.  When I am exhausted and worn down, I try to find  joy in every situation and each person, each child’s smile or the embrace of an elderly woman…here is where i find the strength to give even more.  My work in the corporate or social civic world, the lives of the people i meet and interact with teach me that it is I who has been blessed.  I learned this from my parents and also from my school in Assumption.  I have tried to live my live by putting what i have learned into action and what I truly believe in I follow with passion and faith.

Q:  What achievement are you most proud of and why?

A: I am proud of every challenge or difficulty i have had in my life that i have been able to turn into an opportunity that would benefit others.
