Lovingly Yours, Mom Rica Concepcion to all her kiddos Carsy, Franco and Natalia

My dearest Carsy, Franco, and Natalia,
As your mother, I want to express how proud I am of each one of you and your unique journey in life. Becoming a mother was the happiest day of my life and I am grateful for the opportunity to guide and support you as you navigate through life’s ups and downs. I thank the Lord everyday for giving me 3 beautiful children. I cannot ask for more.
To my eldest, Carsy, I advise you to cherish your family and prioritize your relationship with your husband P. As a mom, I also encourage you to be patient with Diego. He may test your patience, but always listen to him and give him the love and guidance he needs to grow into a kind, compassionate, and responsible adult. P and Diego are your support system. They need your love and attention. Always make time for family activities and create lasting memories together. Remember to communicate openly and honestly with one another. There will be good days and bad days but always remember to work together to overcome any challenges that come your way. Also remember you always have family in the Philippines who love and miss you.
Please take care of yourself Carsy Doods. It is important to prioritize your physical and emotional well being. You are so far away from home and do not have any help there unlike if you were back home. Make time for exercise, eat healthy and get enough rest.
Always remember that I am here for you no matter where you are in the world. I love you and I am proud of the woman and mother you have become.
To my only son, Franco, I am proud of your hard work, discipline, commitment and dedication at work. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed.
Please be reminded take care of yourself. Do not to be too hard on yourself. Striving for excellence is important, but taking care of yourself and avoiding burnout is equally important. Stay true to your passions, keep learning and growing, and always remember that I believe in you and your capabilities.
As you know, things have changed around the house since your sisters moved out and it can feel quite empty at times. I am comforted and grateful that you never fail to check on me.
I am also touched by the fact that even though you have your cozy bachelor’s pad at home, you always make an effort to pass by my room and say hello. This truly warms my heart and reminds me how fortunate I am to have you as my son.
I am so proud of the man you have become and remember that I will always support and love you unconditionally. I am proud of the person you have become and the many accomplishments you have achieved. Always remember that I love and cherish you and I will always be here to support and guide you in any way I can.
To my youngest, Natalia, who has recently moved to Spain for college, I encourage you to enjoy your college experience while also being mindful of your responsibilities. Studying abroad is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture, learn new languages and make new friends. Take advantage of all the opportunities that come your way but also remember to stay grounded and true to your values. Study hard because your education is for your future. I am happy that you are now closer to Carsy now, and I hope that you both will keep each other company when you are feeling lonely and homesick. And don’t forget to keep the Guardian Angel lola gave you by your side.
Stay focused on your studies. College can be challenging but with hard work, dedication and focus, I know that you can achieve your goals. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
Always remember Tali Bali that no matter where you are in the world, you will always have a home with me. I will always be around to listen to you, to support you and encourage you in all you do.
I am so excited to see all the amazing things you will accomplish in your life.
To all my kiddos, I advise you to prioritize your relationship with the family because no matter how far you are, I will always be here for you no matter what. Remember to always be kind, honest, and respectful towards others and to never lose sight of the values you have learned from lolo, lola, your parents, and your alma mater especially from the Assumption education.
Always stay connected with us, your family and your friends back home. Technology has made it easier to stay in touch. I appreciate all the video calls you make, the messages, photos and videos you send. It really makes me so happy.
The days go by so fast and before we know it, time has just passed us by. Cherish every moment in your life. Take lots of photos and videos to capture every moment of your life. Remember what happens today will never happen again tomorrow so make the most of every opportunity that comes your way. I have cherished every moment since the day you were born, your first laugh, your first crawl,, your first day in school, and all other firsts. These moments have been preserved through hundreds of albums I have at home. Keep them well and one day show them to your children and grandchildren.
Above all, I hope that each one of you will find a partner in life (except for Carsy because she already has P), who will love and cherish you as much as I do. Always remember that the love between a mother and her child is unconditional, and I will always be here for you no matter what. May Our Lord guide and bless each one of you on your journey in life.
I love you 3, my children, from the bottom of my heart.
With all my love,
Mom
